Week 6/7
With the long weekend and TODays here is a good opportunity to get stuck into some self learning:
1.5 hours Khan Academy
Constructions - below are links to videos and instructions as to how to do basic constructions. By the end of week 7 you should be able to:

  1. Bisect a line
  2. Bisect an angle
  3. Draw a perpendicular through a point on a line
  4. Draw a perpendicular through a point not on a line
  5. Draw parallel lines
  6. Draw a loci at a point (circle!!!!)

Use these resources to help you and come to class in week 8 ready to demonstrate your skills:
Bisecting a line - Instructions explaining how to cut a line in half and create a perpendicular (90 degree) line
Constructions - Some we have done and heaps we haven't (great way to extend yourself)
Constructions: The drawing of various shapes using only acompass and straightedge or ruler. No measurement of lengths or angles isallowed.

Mr Hodge's class are reminded that they should complete at least 20 minutes on Khan Academy and complete the Term 1 review. If these are not completed by Monday Week 3 -  learners will remain on Wednesday to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
